Normally I enjoy Mayuri and his antics during battle, but this is just ridiculous.  Can't we move on to something that matters already?  Can't we get past the appetizers and side dishes and go straight for the main course?  Damnit, Kubo, just get to the point already!



Dude, this is the final battle! The elites, Haschwalth and Yhwach vs all the Shinigami. There are no side dishes and appetizers anymore. If you somehow thought Kubo was going to completely ignore the elites and focus entirely on Yhwach then you've got a screw loose somewhere. Each remaining enemy is going to get their individual fights, whether you like it or not. It's the typical trope of every shounen manga.

No, he is (was?) a sternritter and right now he's fused with the soul king's arm I think? We didn't really see him fight and we don't even know what his powers are about.

Hope this fight won't last for too long. Mayuri isn't my favourite character and I'm not that interested in the enemy either.

I usually don't care for Mayuri, but this chapter he got on my nerves.



The left arm of the soul king, huh? But how did a quincy manage to get it? In Ukitake's case it was because he made a deal, so did a quincy make a deal as well? But if yes, what is the difference in power between the left and right? (Does the soul king have a dominant hand or something???)

It was an interesting reveal, but aside from that it would seem there really wasn't too much going on. I was expecting Mayuri to get injured near the end. As awesome as he is, he can't have too many flawless victories now can he? 4/5.



One other thing I question, is did Yhwach know about what was unerneath that cloak? If so, I'm wondering why Mimihagi-sama surprised him so much lol.

That was...an odd chapter. Pernida is quite the odd looking character. Wonder what the next chapter means by a new development in the war?
