Clearly because they need to be there to summon the shadows... In other words they found a 3rd way after getting past the 72 barriers. The only reason they could invade the Seireitei directly from the shadows without the shakonmaku making alarms/destroying the enemy, was because the 2 dimensions existed at the exact same place on top of each other.

Nice of Kubo to finally reveal the remaining Sternritter and their Schrifts. And Askin's comment seems to have implied that they're further separated by ranks, in addition to the alphabet. Kinda explains why these elite ones are so OP.

Is there really a need for a whole alphabet worth of individual named goons? *I bet if we are through the latin one - Kubo starts to use the cyrillic.

I thought the Division 0 members were suppose to be as strong as Yamamoto.
