What?! Hitsugaya died?! What's going on here?!

If you listened closely you could hear Yumichika mentally screaming while Charlotte was talking to him.



Probably because Hitsugaya's fight was so long ago I forgot what happened there but that ending really threw me off yikes.

Damn, Toshirou. If Kensei and Rose are also dead, they sort of died rather lame. I guess this is war though. Yamamoto's death was overkill, too. I mean, death is good but Kubo is just changing up Bleach's tone so drastically. I guess this is more realistic though.

There's no way Toshiro is dead/will die at this point; Kubo can't afford to kill off a fan favourite at this point and risk ratings dropping even further. Mayuri being the badass he is will find a way to bring him back to normal, probably via killing Sternritter Z :)

Arrancars are really powerful enough to defend themselves !!

Now it's the time I should say something bad about this chapter, do my ineffectual weekly bashing and hope someone picks up the discussion...



But I won't, not this time. I have nothing against this chapter. Actually it's one of the best Bleach chapter in my memory, if not the best.



I loved everything about it. Loved the jokes, loved the fight, loved that stupid sexy Charlotte, loved that she knew Giselle is the same as her, I even loved the cliffhanger, something that I usually hate, if only because now we know that little shit named Hitsugaya is dead.



You did it Kubo. You have won. You have finally made me like your manga, at least a small part.



Ok, I actually have a little complaint. I would have preferred that Hitsugaya's death could have been less random and "off-screen", so to speak, if only because usually in these battle shonen if there isn't somebody or something that makes certain to the viewer that a character is dead, then that character will certainly come back to life. But it's not fundamental in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure Mayuri and his zombies will destroy him once and for all.



Oh who am I kidding. Kubo is totally going to bring him back to life, he didn't even manage to kill Byakuya, what hopes do we have for Hitsugaya, the most favourite character in Japan, to actually stay dead.
