Kubo just trolled 2 captains.

The only good thing about this chapter: Renji is back

                        Renji's back!!!! And I gotta say that masked "hero" dude is pretty strong o.o

That hero guy took care of two shinigami's.  He's really strong.  And Reiji appeared.

So much fail in a single chapter. Also Renji looks pretty silly.

Actually, Kubo didn't come up with that by himself, he's ripping off a common trope from Kurumada's Saint Seiya where characters facing sound based attacks would usually destroy their own eardrums to escape the enemy's technique. It's hardly clever or new, and suffice to say even in Saint Seiya characters could see/hear/smell even after losing their sense of sight/hearing/smell, or just recover from the loss of senses completely.



So basically, it's just plagiarism and captains getting worfed, business as usual with Kubo, who knew?!
