Kind of a predictable chapter, although Soi Fon's Shunkou was pretty cool.

I just don't want to see Omeada again. He's just an awful character.

I don't mind him so much, but to think that he's taking up panel time that Soi Fon/others could be having... grr....

^ True, this formula is so typical for shonen manga. You kick ass - you get your ass kicked - then you pull a power up out of your ass and kick ass.

I wonder how long these fights will take. It looks like Kubo is setting up longer fights to make up for the short duration in the first invasion.Well, it's not like there's really any other way to progress. It's either, after surviving they train to try and become better and actually stand up to the enemy... or they don't and they just die the next time.

What gets me though, is why they didn't just wipe out Soul Society in the first strike... it's like they intentionally decided to give them a chance. Not sure how this isn't drawing out the war. But I'm sure there's probably a better reason that we don't know of... and it looks like there's some great action to look forward to.

It also annoys me that Omaeda always has to be saved by Sui-Feng. I mean, I know these guys are the top brass, but still he never actually gets anything done. I always try to like him but he really never does anything useful. He's even less than mere comic-relief... but at least he tries I suppose.

Glad Soi Fon got some love, and good to see that the enemies didnt just die in one hit.

So basically Soi Fon's tactic revolved around letting the enemy trash her subordinate and doing nothing when his little sister got mortally wounded, and actually doing something at the very last moment.

Well boys and girls, what lesson did we learn today? It's ok putting in mortal danger your friends and other children, just be sure to save them when there's no time left and you can act like nothing happened.

"If you see your allies losing, that's your chance. Don't step between them. Take the enemy down from behind. And if the enemy is so strong you can't even do that, then just watch your ally be killed. That's what it means to be Onmitsukidō."

Ara ara.Didnt expect them to get up so fast, its nice to see that they arent going to die so easly with  just one attack.

i remember that during the first invasion jugram warning bach about being outside his "something" for too long. i just can't remember the german word. they were waiting for the royal guard to arrive. so that's that. it hasn't been explained yet. wait for it. it will come. we don't know a lot of things about the vandenreich. so let's wait.
