Bleach Chapter 549 Discussion

I don't get why Suì-Fēng couldn't focus on mastering her Shunkou while she still had Bankai. It's not like she ever used it. In fact, losing her Bankai shouldn't have even been a big problem for her.



Still, I like her comeback. Her personality seems less bitchy and more badass, and she looks a lot hotter than before. Let's see how she makes up for getting ridiculed by Kirinji Tenjirou.



I thought Kubo was finally going to give Omaeda some attention, but so far it seems like he's just there to stall for Suì-Fēng's Big Damn Heroes moment. I hope he gets more involved, and doesn't fail like he did against Baraggan. I hope Kubo's building up to that, with Omaeda's lines in the last chapter and the involvement of his little sister.

thankfully though these might not be pointless underlings and look to actually present a serious threat.

knowing kubo I'm almost sure that IS the formula that's going to be followed but even the arrancar fodder took more than 2 chapters to kill.

Still don't care about Oomaeda, he's one of the worst sub-characters in this series imo. His little sister getting stabbed hit me a bit though.

Another meh chapter, probably because I'm not big fan of those characters... I love the moral of this so far, it looks like when you have already ultimate power it just makes you lazy - so if it's going to be stolen from you, in a week you become 3 times stronger :D Nice.

Seems like this'll be their final form. I mean the Sternritters. The power to absorb reaitsu? Must have it's pros and cons anyway.

Yikes, Hitsugaya I kind of expected that he wouldn't be able to one shot the dude, but Soi Fon using a completed stronger Shunkou not being able to get the guy off his feet? I at least hope he took some damage otherwise this is going to go south fast!

What I liked the most about this chapter is that it seemed to indicate that the way forward is team work. The way that Hitsugaya and Matsumoto combined their powers and maybe that's the whole point. Sure people have worked together before but on the whole fights have taken place individually and this is new actually fighting together in a far more complex way. Not just attacking the enemy simultaneously but combining powers to do things that no-one could do on their own? That's potentially more powerful than a Bankai?

Fuccck, Soi Fon. You absolute badass. Also looking hott as hell ahaha.
