One thing, this 'saint script'...what is it? Is it something that gives you power like Bach's? Will Bach lose his power after that?

ps. @Ryuuken(Uryuu father) - I guess it's like people before me said: He don't want to fight, He don't want to develop himself..etc so he is 'not quincy'

Kubo chose some truly terrible names for the Sternritter.

Like all the grammatical garbage that is thrown at us the moment a german word appears. For example: it's not "Seele Schneider" it's Seelenschneider and those underlings shouldn't be called "Sternritters", it's Sternenritter. German hardly ever uses the plural -s, it's usually either -e, or -er, or -en, or something totally obscure or nothing at all and Ritter doesen't chance. Ein Ritter (one knight), zwei Ritter (two knights). Mixing up two languages in one word is usually not the best idea. xD

Also, I don't know if that's just the one translation I read, but at the very end when Juha Bach says "I'll give you the Schrift." there's a note saying "Lit:sacret scripts". Now, I don't know if the japanese version has some extra meaning that implies something scared, but in this context "Schrift" is just something written, there's no hint in the word if there's anything sacred or not.  Also, there's no plural, that would be Schriften, so they should be talking about just one written piece of paper. But since I'm very convinced Tite Kubo has no idea about the simplest german grammatical rules whatsoever and just throws those words in there, I'm pretty sure it actually could mean anything from a shopping list to the holy Bible.

Well, the point was, the word Schrift doesn't hold any meaning in the direction of being sacred and this is probably just a translation error from Japanese/German to English.

This has been going on ever since the arc started and I feel very sorry for every native English speaker, because English is much more common in Manga and Anime than German, but personally I don't like it when someone uses words from a different language (it doesn't matter which one) and uses them so balantly wrong. There's no need to learn the language, but many mistakes could be avoided with the help of a dictionary. Also, I'm not saying we're free of guild, I'm sure our media does the same and it's just as bad.THIS.

It's been quite annoying me for a while, too. Kubo's use of German is worse than babelfish.

SchriftEN would imply something like scripts, but not the sacred part.

I suspect though, that the English translation is wrong and he used Schrift as in writing (like handwriting, etc) and actually wanted to say "Buchstaben" or something like that.

My Japanese isn't very good (= practically non-existent) but I could imagine that the words Schrift and Buchstabe are closer connected than in German, so maybe there was some confusion.

And hey, they're evil Nazis, so of course they're German.

Here's a dumb question and it only just occurred to me. Ok... so when Ichigo's mother fought Grand fisher, Ichigo was unconscious right?! Uryu's mom also fell into a coma and died three months later all at the same moment Ichigo's mom died. So is there a chance all the Quincy's fell unconscious (or people with Quincy blood) when this 'selection' happened?

I don't think Uryu would betray his friends still, but it is weird that he is the guys successor. However wouldn't the soul society know by now since Mayuri has that servalince bacterium? Just curious.
