Bleach Chapter 542 Discussion

Ichigo's two zanpakuto's don't look as cool anymore. He kind of looks like some butcher in this chapter, especially with his torn sleeves. I'm hoping for a more detailed version of his Zangetsus in the next chapter.

I wonder now if Ichigo will actually use shikiai rather than always be in it. And I wonder if his new bankai will be what most other bankai are...something huge like when byakyuya said when the bankai was used in SS arc. Also badass looking swords!

The second sword is a serrated knife.



Actually if there are two swords i wonder if he can have 2 types of bankai.

admittedly it's going slow. but it's awesome. this chapter was all about ichigo realizing and finally accepting the fact that his zanpakuto is the combination of the 'old man zangetsu' and his inner hollow. i wasn't surprised that ichigo ended up with dual zanpakuto. after all ichigo is special and it is natural that he is capable and worthy of wielding them. the big question is will he need to master shikai and bankai again? can't wait.

So now he has both a sword from his Shinigami and Quincy powers and both of the swords are infused with his hollow powers, hence why there's a hole in those swords. I wouldn't be surprised if his swords could turn into Bows and Arrows though. It still bugs me though as to why Ichigo's swords looks unfinished, even the older version of Zangetsu looked unfinished.

Am I the only one who didn't liked the two blades? Specially the shorter bent sword. Still an interesting chapter.

There's no technically "real" Zangetsu.



Shirosaki IS Zangetsu, his power, but BahGetsu is ALSO IChigo's power and both of them are part of Ichigo himself, both of them are Ichigo.  So Ichigo decides what Zangetsu is and thus he decided to name his power as a whole Zangetsu, unifying them all into whole, himself.

There's no "hollow form" anymore. Has not been since Dangai training and won't be. The manga already explained it.
