I'm guessing he had to show Zangetsu his determination, and in doing so Zangetsu allowed him to use more of his power thus allowing him to use bankai. Tensa Zangetsu might be some sort of blend between Zangetsu and his actual form..

I guess that explains his simple bankai and shikai. And why he always gets his ass kicked, he felt weaker ever since soul society arc.

That was a bit rushed and a bit too easy...

I can understand his rage. Lol. Kubo seems like he doesn't really plan this plot twists. Just because their are plot twists does not mean the story is amazing.

The interaction between 'Zangetsu' and Ichigo was touching.  So I guess this is it.



I knew something had to be done after Kenpachi got such a big power boost, now since Ichigo was only using a fragment of his power this whole time (just like Kenpachi), I can't even imagine how this turns out.  I wish Ichigo is permanent Dangai mode and just kicks everyone's ass easily (who's not the main leader/right hand), dodging lightning, and destroying mountains left and right with a flick of his wrist in Shikai mode, this is the last arc any ways!



If Ichigo didn't get that strong, how is he going to handle Juha Bach with Yamamoto's Bankai AND a Vollstandig?



Man, I can't freaking wait!  Just bring out Aizen already too! ^^

Ok so this whole time Ichigo was mainly using his quincy and hollow powers? That would explain the times where a blue flash or black would come from his sword.

Zangetsu wasn't actually Juha Bach but a part of the Quincy thingy that integrates into the true form of Zangetsu. Is that right?



In that case, we will see how the actual one looks like then.
