ROFL @ the fat chick on the left. Im guessing she was the captain that got promoted.
Kon's entrance was funny as all hell. (mangastream has better translations this chapter, instead of 'this cute face, this cuter face, this cuterest face!)
Poor ichigo having his bankai broken. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *points and laughs some more*... ahem... excuse me... Maybe it can't be repaired, hell find out that Zangetsu is related to Bach, and he'll use quincy powers (once he learns them) to repair it and use it like a puppet. Kinda like how ishida wound the bandages to control his arm.
On a serious note though, if ikkaku and renji's bankais were broken in their fights... what about Mayuri? Not only was his bankai broken, Ishida pretty much fucking demolished the shit out of it. In half. I can't remember much, but was mayuri's bankai any different when he faced that espada? Just because he's a captain doesn't mean he should be exempt of said rule. Unless it's because his bankai becomes a sentient being, instead of still a blade (as most are)?
Love kyouraku. Every panel of his makes me giddy with pre-pubescent excitedness. After seeing him at the end of the last chapter, realllly hoping he steps up and leads the Gotei 13. He may not think he's up for it, since he is quite laid back, but he's done pretty much nothing but quote Yamaji whenever he talks in the last few chapters. He knows Yama pretty well and how things would be run.
Also im guessing being in the Zero Squad is for life. You don't retire. If anything, id gamble that Isshin (along with Unohana) were part of the original Gotei 13 that Bach was talking about. Although that leads me to think, why wouldn't Isshin and Unohana age the same way Yamamoto did? Unless Yama is like... 3000yrs old?
