Yea, I am kinda glad there were no drawn out fights from characters who full power we've seen time and time again. If Kubo does decide to take us to the SK and squad zero's realm, and i can't see him not doing that, then there is the potential for an entire new character set.
By having the Quincies invade SS and basically annihilate most of the Captains and Vice Captain's almost instantaneously, Kubo accomplishes two things.1. Get rid of most of the old main characters without long drawn out chapters detailing their deaths and having long final farewell scenes. 2. Show the incredible power of the Quincies army by totally destroying the only real resistance in their paths, the Shinigami.
Now, by vastly overstating their power we will expect the Quincies to be able to take on whoever is in the next realm, thereby introducing an entire new cast into Bleach, as well as more powerful characters than what we have now. In the end Bleach is a manga, and usually constant power progression is the main stave in a series such as this. That's what I was thinking, Kubo has a huge cast to utilize and there are still the Royal Guard and who knows who will appear in the Spirit Realm, not to mention if we ever get a new cast of villain too. There are also chances of getting a new set of Arrancars (Grimmjow could bring some Vasto Lorde with him when he appears) at some point, who knows what might happen, the arc is still in its beginning after-all. However I don't want him to write off Kenpachi and Byakuya, who are probably not dead, until the end of the arc, well I actually doubt he will, they have a big fan-base after-all.
