Convenience excuse of shonen genre with reinforcements arriving a bit latter, allowing the hero to develop a  bit as character. A lot of what happened in that moment gave insight into who Ichigo is and just what a drug the whole having power is for him.

Except  other Shonen series have better execution so it doesn't come off as lazy and half-assed.  With Ichigo, his selfish desire for power only makes him a worse character than he already is, he's becoming more and more like Aizen, especially in terms of ridiculous transformations like his stupid looking Fullbring suit.

Except that we:

1. Don't know how long the preparation works. For all we know the sword required one person per month reiatsu insertion or something. Also its quite clear that Urahara and Isshin was keeping tabs on the whole FB thing, since Ginjou is connected to Isshin in some way.

They could have avoided this situation by informing Ichigo about getting his powers back, 17 months is plenty of time, especially given Urahara's intellect.

Anything to back those opinions up?

Yes, the majority of this arc focused on Ichigo's powers back and fullbring had nothing to do with it.  Any other sub plot was shoved aside in favor of these poorly handled fights.

Fai said:
We learned a lot about Ichigo as character, how he sees his powers and WHY he always rushes to protect others. We saw the darker side of that whole nature of his and we saw how the others around him feel.

What we learned is that Ichigo is a selfish, power-hungry moron.  He trusted Ginjou over his own dad, he ditched his 2 sisters at home during his encounter with Tsukishima and ran away which betrays his whole 'protecting' mantra since he has no real goals, and he begged for his powers, not his friends or family.

Fai said:
And sorry? Learned nothing new? New doubts about SS arose for Ishdia, we have potential Isshin backstory and lots of other stuff like that, not to mention finally a background for Chad's powers.

All Uryu did was speculate, which was pointless because we still don't know Ginjou's motivations.  Isshin's backstory is what this arc should have been, instead he's stuck dealing with Chad/Orihime with Urahara.  Chad's power has had yet another explanation, so which is it?  The Hogyoku or Fullbring?  Aizen and the Fullbringers aren't exactly trustworthy.

Fai said:
And timeskip realistically developed every character who was there.

You mean apart from Kubo screwing Ichigo's friends and family from character development?  Ichigo certainly hasn't developed, some characters have new hair styles.

Fai said:
would be fine and dandy if not for the fact that training itself and everything that happened in those chapters was not about giving Ichigo's powers back. But then again you missed that.

Except that's what Ginjou said, he said that's their whole purpose and that turned out to be a lie.  If you paid attention, Ginjou said that right when Ichigo foolishly went into their hideout.

Fai said:
Are they attacking? are they moving? Did he place those petals there or did Ichigo push them back by the impact. The next panel shows a perfect sphere with empty range described in this chapter.

Except Ichigo defeated Byakuya using his bankai speed to counter Byakuya's petals and had some help from his hollow

And yet again you fail to bring any arguments into your repeatable repeat of same phrase.

Which is exactly what you're doing.

Well that ending was strange. Tsukishima is giving Byakuya a good fight whereas Rukia's fight is kinda strange.

I laughed at the end Rukia got turned into a doll xD

Also I thought the girl Rukia is fighting didn't want to fight so why is she fighting?

Yaa i dont understand either...   why is Riruka fighting  didnt think she wanted to fight at all.. she was agianst getting ichigos power..

If it wernt for her being in the middle of a battle, I think Rukia would be ecstatic about becoming so cute X/ lol

well either way ... i have to agree with the guys that say kubo just pulled byakuya's restriction out of his ass, BECAUSE HE NEVER EVER MENTIONED IT BEFORE

so even if:

- there was room for this weakness to be added

- due to the way byakuya's petal dance was portrayed, fits with byakuya's power

- it somewhat makes sense to keep the petals away from the user's body, just to be careful

.

.

.

It still does look as if he pulled this restriction out of his ass. So it's really lame and stupid.

Anyways i am still looking forward to an awsome comeback from byakuya. The positive side is that byakuya is even more cornered, which i wanted him to be to see some interesting come back and i still hope there wont be a lame kido magic to get out of this. :/

1. Ichigo is still using Getsuga Tenshou, apart from a few X's on his body, it's still the same sword he had at the start of the series.  We haven't seen Zangetsu yet.

Congrats on proving you lack reading comprehension.

Isshin is also using GT. Does that meant hat Engetsu is Zangetsu and has no other abilities? No.

GT is pretty much trademark of -getsu swords which we still have to learn about more. We don't know what else changed nor what additional powers Ichigo got.

Machuran said:

2. Urahara got Soul Society's permission to create the special Shinigami sword and have the Shinigamis give up some of their reiatsu for Ichigo.  If Fullbring had anything to do with it, Rukia wouldn't have waited until after Ginjou stolen part of Ichigo's fullbring and would have prevented him from making a fool out of himself.

Convenience excuse of shonen genre with reinforcements arriving a bit latter, allowing the hero to develop a  bit as character. A lot of what happened in that moment gave insight into who Ichigo is and just what a drug the whole having power is for him.

3. Urahara had plenty of time, like 17 months since Ichigo lost his powers.  In fact, this whole mess could have been avoided altogether, if Ichigo got his powers back much sooner before this whole Fullbring nonsense came along.

Except that we:

1. Don't know how long the preparation works. For all we know the sword required one person per month reiatsu insertion or something. Also its quite clear that Urahara and Isshin was keeping tabs on the whole FB thing, since Ginjou is connected to Isshin in some way.

Machuran said:

There really was no point to this arc.  Ichigo didn't learn anything important or new, he didn't develop as a character, etc.  In fact this whole time skip was pointless, as well as Ichigo's power loss, which they tried to make it seem like some serious sacrifice when it really wasn't.

Anything to back those opinions up?

We learned a lot about Ichigo as character, how he sees his powers and WHY he always rushes to protect others. We saw the darker side of that whole nature of his and we saw how the others around him feel.

Chapter 459 proved how pointless this whole arc was.  In took only 1 chapter it showed Ichigo getting his powers back, you don't need an arc to do that.  All Ichigo needed to do was get stabbed by Urahara's special Shinigami sword with all the Shinigamis' reiatsu, not Fullbring or his stupid Dollhouse/Dirty Boots training bs.

would be fine and dandy if not for the fact that training itself and everything that happened in those chapters was not about giving Ichigo's powers back. But then again you missed that.

Machuran said:
Ichigo is still very close to Byakuya and his petals are blocking Ichigo's attack at close range.

Are they attacking? are they moving? Did he place those petals there or did Ichigo push them back by the impact. The next panel shows a perfect sphere with empty range described in this chapter.

Machuran said:
Maybe it's because Kubo is dragging this out as much as possible, it's almost a year of this pointless arc after all.  It's already a repeat of Chapter 1, he's even reusing chapter titles, the only difference is that Chapter 1 didn't waste this much time doing so.  Ichigo's hollow powers haven't been hinted in this arc, but it might come back by plot convenience during his fight.  Ichigo getting his Shinigami powers back by being stabbed already made Fullbring and his training pointless.

And yet again you fail to bring any arguments into your repeatable repeat of same phrase.

I knew last week left off at Tsukishima vs Byakuya, but when I saw the cover of Ichigo vs Ginjou, I couldn't help but be a little excited. I wish there was more fighting in this chap.

Naw cute plushie Rukia.

Well I think it's only a matter of time when Byakuya defeats Tsukishima. He will find a way, because he is Byakuya after all;)

I just want for Aizen to come back, he was, is and will be awesome

and Rukia was super cute at the end^^
