Mahou Sensei Negima! Chapter 355 Discussion

Troll ending.  Too bad, because when Negima was at its best, it was amazing.  But I felt that the quality started to drop after the School Festival arc.  It a shame, though, as it could have been so much more. 7/10 overall.

Oh well... Kinda disapointing but yet good ending.

Been following this manga since 2005-2006-ish and is really one of my fav. manga, actually one of my first manga bought as a book. (Kinda love at first sight :D Good memories there)



Im not really a fan of an open-ending manga and I really hope that Ken A. is going to release some sort of a light novel or something to clear things up.



I assume it´ll be a story about Evas or/and Negis love life. ( I think Negis love is his childhood friend Anya but we´ll see...)

Yes, Negima was absolutely great for 90% of it's run....however, that last 10% was so important and so necessary to be a "Good" story I can't give this manga higher than a 6/10

All these years of good reading and good story of Negima that had to come us to this end so mediocre, honestly is not what fans wanted, I think Akamatsu is not at fault, apparently the fault of Kodansha or company which went out the manga.

Seriously, am i the only one that caught up on this? Makie called Nagi father and was all super nervous about meeting him, so that obviously means Negi was dating Makie at the end there!

I can't believe the anime final ending ended up being better... what a mess of a ending; I knew the ending would be half ass when it said it was ending suddenly but in all honestly i think chapter 353 would have been a better ending, that way we don't get this randomness and we can just assume w/e instead of getting...

5/10 for the entire chapter. KonoSetsu being married is the only one that I only enjoy.

While we all know the ending was botched in so many ways, I can't really be too harsh on Akamatsu. While there was many questions that weren't answered directly, this ending still leaves me with a warm feeling that everything worked out in the end. Cliche, I know, but still I'm satisfied enough.



Negima was my first manga that I followed since probably around 2007, and it was the first series that introduced me into non-American mainstream J-Pop culture. Funny story with that, but I'll share that story on my blog another day.



Thank you Ken Akamatsu for the magic that Negima brought into my life, and what it did for my future. I'll always remember all the epic magic battles, romantic comedy, the story of fighting for your perception of "good', and of course of everyone of the Negima universe. I hope you the best of luck in future projects and hope to see it soon!
