what other methodes? they gotta keep alow profile cause of the thing with them being marked as criminals an all. Entering the world famous tournament and saying he's nagi, the guy the tournament is named after, and saying ya know your teacher negi is here. not to mention that artifact that can scan huge ammounts of the world at work.
I meant Ken could have written up different scenarios of finding Negi's students.He didn't necessarily have to use a tournament. They are keeping a good enough low profile already with the candies so nothing stopping them going around. Heck he could have gotten on TV by causing a ruckus in his adult form and saying he's Nagi >_>. Tournament omitted...

Yes. Just what exactly happened to Takamichi? Not seen him in ages since he somehow amazingly got to the magic world. If you look a few chapters back you'll see that the blond woman with them before at the gate was discussing with Professor Akashi about Fate. So they already are looking into him. Come to think of it this whole thing happened because Rakan was too lazy to come pick Negi up at the gate >_>. If he was there less problems... I think.

hopefully negi will get to show off next chapter like rakan did this time. :)
he finished the chant just before he used asuna's sword. he most likely has the spell on a delay to talk that much. we saw it about to be activated on the last page.
btw nobody mentioned kota kun's kick ass slap to the drill shadow. I think that shadow guy is going to have a hard time.........no wait, I hope he has a hard time.

I was reading the early volumes again, and has anyone noticed that the pactio cards have gotten significantly simpler since the series started? I mean, go check out Chapter 25. They never do the "Activate the contract for n seconds" thing anymore, it just kind of happens.
In any case, the one doing that would be Theodora, not Negi, so we don't know if the incantation is still on.
On another note, I wonder if Negi has control over her pactio partners card efects of the power expands beyodn of that. After all, Negi is a collector of rare and/or old objects if I remember right.
Last note: loved the last part of page 18, when not even Akamatsu's comments at the end believe Negi can win that fight XD

Speaking of Setsuna, where did she go again? Rofl. Her and Kaede just disappeared? I'm having trouble remembering where they went...Hm, well other than that, great chapter, I wish I could say I'm looking forward to the next, but quite frankly, I don't enjoy fist fights. :[

nah, at the end of the first day of the school festival when they were in eva's resort all of that was explained.

He collects ancient magical weapons, as seen in the 3rd volume ( his first fight against Evangeline).
You know, when Negi drew those pactio cards and inserted them in his artifact, I was all like "Woah, Yu-Gi-Oh!" oO.

typical the stadium wasnt rakan proof, lol.
im thinking that instead of using the ultimate lightning attack on rakan, which might not work, he will probably take some of its energy to use his dark magic.

He's had it since the first time we met him (to be exact, Chapter 41 page 14 shows him using it), but apparently it's gotten a major power upgrade since the last time we saw it in action.
but that's his fully released form, isnt it? it seems like he can control it more now, having only a part of his body transform instead. still, that is a powerup from the last time.

that 'active contract' is a powerboost for the partners, so they can gain some superhuman/magic strength, like more speed. the artifact is the partner's own use which he/she can summon at any time. since everyone is pretty powerful already, and that the small boost makes negi have to give some of his magic away and wont be very effective on stronger enemies, the concept was no longer needed.
that, or akamatsu forgot about it.

But hell, I'm a negima fanboy, so I don't care as long as Akamatsu doesn't take too many breaks.
yes, I prefer to see negi develope and get stronger. I hope he gets an actual win this time though instead of a pity win(takahata & setsuna), joint win(negi kotarou vs. guy who stoned negi's village) or a draw(negi vs. chou).
he's never had a tough straight forward win that I can remember.
the pervertedness in negima is great though. especially in chapters
84 'kissing machine negi' and
85 'what does an adult kiss taste like'
