Okay so Professor Makube isn't necessarily the mother of Makubex, Makube is a title it seems, for the herald of creation. Seeing the Lightning Lord disintegrate like that was certainly a shock, making it seem like the Voodoo King had won until he turned to Sarai. Though the truth seems the the dark natures of both involved were destroyed, so I'm guessing this means Ginji can no longer transform into the Lightning Lord? Not that it's a big deal, considering he's won.My headcannon is that he still has the powers without the dark nature. That he's freed from his curse just like Ban is.
of course this is never really shown one way or the other, but it fits thematically,
