D.Gray-man Chapter 165 Discussion

Yeah I think that Allen should go against them. With that investigator in charge of things Allen is going to be killed and the rest of the team right after him. Because he doesn't care if they live or die.

wooo! Things are getting good again :D Lenalee's uniform is so cute, but her hair needs to grow a tad longer. Don't really like her hair right now, since it's in the not-short-enough-not-long-enough area. I'm so pumped for this arc ♥

Well it's good that we are finally out of the filler arc.

But nothing much really happened imo.

1. Its not naruto. If you wanted mindless action each chapter go the other way.

2. filler is inaccurately term as there's nothing to "fill", it was just a hilarious comedy arc.

3. "nothing ever happened" - u use that a lot, don' you >___>

Ontopic:

for those confused:

yes, the filler part did count. what happened at the beginning of 165 was quite a ...big timeskip, we just did not see what happened after that, but all the important parts of that arc still remain, if you could not notice that, then you are seriously delusioned by your hatred for comedy arc and imho you should stay away from fma manga then...

Not on REAL topic:

Even though the previous hairstyle was better, this one fits Lenalee too...just please...no twin tails this time >____>

And I got the feeling that Allen might need to go against the Black Order in future too...Leverier, his black-capes and his methods just strike so Fma-furhrer-ish, "allen side" being the only goodies? I suppose so...

Ok....just noticed something which left me frightened...

The page 1 of this chapter is actually flash forward AFTER the events which began this chapter >_>

And it does not bode well for lifespan of Cross....

OMFG!! Your right! I didn't notice that...NOES!!! That means Cross is gonna die!...dead...or just ran off again...

actually my bet is that he ran off again, well, because he does that a lot...all though it may seem like he's dead at first... i mean nothing much happened for him to have died, or be close to death apart from that part with the iminent war started by the new noah. I don't think Cross is dead, although this last chapter did have a very serious feel to it...damn...

'I found it not long after that rainy day' so i think either Cross is dying, when Allen sees him, or he's changed to a different form which would be why they bound his arm...or he's already dead and the way they said it implied that he was alive when actually he's already dead because 'you will find general marion cross on the other side of this door' could mean that he's dead or alive. Also he said 'message he left behind' and also its a heart felt message which he wouldn't even contemplate leaving if he was still gonna live...It's iminent Cross is doomed, and that means allen will have to find out about the 14th through a different means if Cross is already dead! That sucks! It means we'll have to wait even longer for answers and the only people that'd actually know would be Road or the Millenium Earl! NOOO!

I thought we were getting answers dammit...

Also I didn't hate the comedy arcs, they bring a change of scene between two really serious arcs, i mean D.Grayman would get really depressing if there wasn't the odd comic relief here and there...plus from the looks of the way its going its probably gonna be the last time we see all the exorcists together and all the noahs together (at the mansion part.)

It was also important to tell people about the move and also to show people that Komui wasn't heartless towards all those people that were killed in the experiments. Thats coz there was still some speculation over it after the whole buisness with 'the fallen' (or something like that) and he had been shown to do a number of inhumane experiments on people, so the manga-ka needed a chance to prove he wasn't all bad, just following orders...

The way I see it - Cross has too much pride to actually say such things as in that recording...unless he knew he would never meet Allen again.

After all, he tried the last desperate attempt to do the deal with the devil, aka Reverier.

Now why would Reverier bind Allen's arm? he did not do that during his last conversations, or his last talks with Cross....He knows Allen would not do something...unless whatever he sees behind the door would enrage him enough to use the Innocence against Reverier or someone else...

Cross, even though being the mind-games freak, always would appear suddenly - the same how he disappears...he would never do such a charade of his arrival...

as you said, the whole chapter was very serious and dark

I would not be surprised if Reverier, knowing everything Cross told him, would make an "example" out of Cross, wanting Allen for whatever his plans are...

Like the "your master tried, he failed. If you think you could do something, have no hope, the only thing you can do is to comply with our requests...or...."

Knowing Cross, he would leave a bit more in that message inside Tim(we did not hear entire message and I bet that the part we read in page1 was the end of it...), which would help Allen to figure some stuff out.

The last time we have seen Cross - he was making a deal with Reverier...He was not in the zombie event...

And yes, a very dark chapter of this story has begun - the war will start, the order will no longer be just the good guys, the bookmen story will also come into play and yet another depression fest will begin...

THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

                ----------------------------------------

Aaaaand we're back to the real story.

Something big is brewing, that's for sure.  Poor Allen. ;_; Although I'll be awfully happy if Cross really does come back.  He's such a cool character.

And as a side note, Lenalee's hair is starting to grow out a bit.  It looks pretty cute~

i am so glad that the infection arc got brushed off as filler because it was garbage. this chapter was interesting and i wonder who Allen is going to meet. i wonder if they are going to torture him too, it doesn't seem to be too far of a stretch for that crappy inspector.
