D.Gray-man Chapter 1 Discussion

Had to try reading the manga, I've seen so much fan art and heard alot of good things about the anime. I like it. It was pretty sad. and i thought it was hilarious how the soul was put into that plastic plamo skeleton. Great touch, i think i'll like this series.

Damn...that was one helluva 1st chapter.

                        Wow..... first chapter of D.Gray Man doesn't have a discussion thread... It can't be that hard to believe that there are people that are JUST starting to read it, can it  ? Anyway, me=living speciment .



Gotta say I'm unimpressed by the drawing style... Allen looks just way too...childish

I've seen a lot of picts with him [from the anime] and there he looks.... older ...



Nevertheless, interesting start...

For a first manga chapter, the art was pretty good. I don't get why the detectives were confused about what country Allen came from? I got the feeling that this took place in Germany, but still, if he told them his name, they could have guessed...

To celebrate purchasing the 27th volume, I’m rereading this from the beginning.



And, wow. This might be one of the best first chapters I’ve ever read. Great start, and I can’t wait to re-experience the rest of the story!

It's been ages since I saw this episode in the anime. I like it.

I really love D.Gray-Man. Since the dubbing stopped at episode 51, I thought I might wanna read the manga. So I am :D

Saw loads of fanart and got many reccomendations for it. At the start of the chapter I was a bit confused, and with the art as well, but it's just the beginnig, and so far, it always got better. By the end of the chapter i already really enjoyed it, I'll keep reading

ohh I could NEVER say Allen wasn't cute... just that I prefer his slightly more mature look from the anime... He's a great character though and I feel it's gonna get way more interesting...

Aw... Why did the kitty have to die? =( This sounds like it's just going to be a tragic manga where things keep dieing or dieing before hand and not be able to save people around them...
