Can't believe everyone was used as sacrifices, ( this week's Shounen Manga have lots of sacrifices, deaths, disappearances :D)

LOL NO FREAKING SHIT!!!  First Negima, then ....well your avatar kinda gives a hint, (it's too messed up to say anything further about what happend in One Piece) and now this!!  I would say Naruto too, except the sacrifice in that manga was last week.

Interestingly enough, i had been watching this discussion to see what others were speculating about this chapter, wishing i had an account so i could join in, until i remembered that i have had a membership to this site for a while... odd. XD

Anyways, chapter 104 was simply shocking! The author really has put a lot at stake with this newest chapter. I mean, killing off the ENTIRE country? I refuse to believe they'll stay dead though... i think she knows that many would lose their interest in the series if that were to happen. I think that something will happen where their souls will be returned to their bodies (hopefully...), and who knows, maybe in the process Al will finally get his body back?

The series seems like its going to end soon, but considering there is still Father and 3 humunculi left to deal with, i don't believe it'll be ending in 5 chapters like some guess. I don't want the series to end.... T^T

This is crazy shit.

Father absorbing God. WTF. I feel like the series gonna end with him winning.

Wow. Everyone except the main heroes, and a couple of the villains, are dead. That's, nuts.

What?!...

The ending will be either incredibly good or amazingly bad.

OH. My. Fucking. God. Seriously. WTF. Next. Chapter. Now!

I'd die laughing if the mangaka decided to just let everyone die just, you know, to mess with the readers:D.

But this twist will backfire on him either way. If everyone revives 80% of the readers will go "cliche!". If everyone stays dead 80% of the readers will start crying for their personal favourites. I wonder if he will find some way to avoid this or just go with the mass-resurrection version.

And it's ironic how some ppls opinion can turn from omg to "what's this shit" the moment a god-element surfaces in some form.

In a universe where multiple cultural groups have talked about different gods (Ishval, Lior to an extent) I doubt this "god" is a God in the religious sense. It's more likely just a nameless extreme source of energy and Father refers to it as God.

Well said.

ally hope we get a good (happy, if possible) ending, but I hope Arakawa doesn't rely on a generic way to bring everyone back to life. If she does. But she's Arakawa, so I'm sure next chapter will be awesome.

That's what I keep telling myself.  I have no idea how to get out of a situation like this, but I have faith in Arakawa's ability to consistently wow me every month with her brilliance.

...I just hope Arakawa doesn't pull a Kishimoto (Naruto Pein arc, I'll spoiler-tag this, just to be safe xP) and
revive everyone for no reason other than an obligatory happy ending D:

I can't see how she could possible fail as hard a Kishi did, though.  In that case it was jsut like
"Lol, Naruto has shown me the ERROR OF MY WAYS (tm), and now Ishall revive all of these people I just killed as my final act~~"

Whereas, in this case, if they do find a way to "bring people back"  it will be something more along the lines of reattaching their souls (which are presumably in Father atm) to their bodies.  Which will be no simple task, to be sure, but I can't see our heroes letting that stop them.

Whoa! that was quite an apocalyptic chapter. I wasn't really expecting that. Definitely had a dark feel to it, just like when I watched Elfen Lied and Evangelion. I like the direction it's going though. FMA is a dark subtle manga/anime.

I'm slightly offended that you just compared this and Eva to that sack of shit Elfen Lied.  :|
