...That's it? Color me a little disappointed. The 2003 anime certainly took some liberties to add details and change up the chronology from the source material, but I never realized it was this severe. Ed's already a state alchemist? It made much more sense for him to study for the exam at Tucker's house, not just hang out and use his books.
Not to mention, that slight change in chronology allowed for both Ed and Al and us, the audience, to get to know Nina and Alexander more. Here, it's presented like they played once and are mostly hung up on the situation based on the moral quandaries rather than personal attachment.
Still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth stomaching the symbolic artwork in this chapter. Loved the half-lit panel of Tucker and Ed standing in the rain!
