I think this chapter was adapted in the original series, but cut out in Brotherhood. I think in Brotherhood, Yoki just explains the events in 20 seconds.

This is something they left out of Brotherhood I do believe, in any case this was an enjoyable chapter.

I really enjoyed this chapter. Especially the part where kid shouted 'But you're an alchemist'. Being a chemist myself I know how hard it can be to endure unreasonable requests of doing something both illegal and useless.

Seems like an irrelevant side story since it is not included in both anime adaptations. Could've done without it, story was mildly entertaining.

How a whole filler subplot is so well fit into just one chapter like this is crazy

F you Yoki !

too bad this chapter wasn't in brotherhood, glad it was in the original though :)

Why did they cut this out of the anime? This was great, Edward is a socialist chad liberating the working class. I think by reading this Fullmetal will go back to being my top 1 because it was just recently overtaken.

Hahaha pretty cool. Kind of figured he was just going to destroy the gold plates after the transaction.

i don't remember ed being this selfish or goofy. i really like how cute and wholesome the finale is, it's a small but fun mini story that really helps flesh out ed's character. hopefully this mini story format doesn't really stay for long and we finally get into the main story though, this seems a bit better paced than the beginning of the original anime and a lot better than the beginning of brotherhood.

I don't remember this chapter in the Anime. They skipped over this lieutenant's backstory.
