i can practically feel gon's frustration coming from the pages.

                it was really odd seeing Pitou, a royal guard, beg. she fears disobeying the King's order more than her own death. nonetheless, Kumogi's body, just lying there, seemed to have made Gon hesitate, eve for a little bit.

I felt a cold shiver ran down my body seeing Gon's reactions. It's a different kind of reaction I got from the anime episode.

It's not that Pitou fears disobeying the Kings orders. It's that she wants to honor what the King, and important person to her, asked of her. That is a huge, huge difference and is a nice indicator of the burgeoning humanity the ants are experiencing. Of course, to Gon, it is extremely unfair that this Ant, that "hurt" Kite and played with him like a toy, is actually trying to defend someone. Hence the overwhelming feeling of anger and frustration.

Another one of my favourite chapters. This is so far from what you would've guessed the meeting of Gon and Pitou to be. Gon says "Fight me so I can make make Kite whole", which really shows how he thought the situation would play out. But instead he finds Pitou totally surrendering as he protects a human. It's understandable how this would screw with Gon's mind.



I also love it when Gon interrupts Killua. It's so cold and so emotional.
