i was expecting Ren to die but this was extremly sad  :S

Yes, little Ren is Takumi and Hachi's child, and Satcuki's brother. I rather think twin brother. Hachi didn't wanted to know the sex of the baby, so the doctor didn't tell her that she will have twins.



I've been thinking the same thing. Twins, they seem to be of the same age. Because she would have to get pregnant almost immediately after her birth to have the second child so near in age. I just don't see that happening at all. Not with the way their relationship is heading.





You guys are forgetting that Takumi slept with Reira while Hachi was still pregnant. Ren could very well be Reira's son, which would explain why he was in England with Takumi and Reira.

My prediction is that the story is going to flash-forward into the future; they are going to find Nana in London,  Hachi will finally bring what is left of her relationship with Takumi to a close (since he is there in London, too), she might even possibly end up with Nobu (since WAY back when, the first time it gave us a glimpse of the future, you could see that they still had feelings for each other), and I think the story will end on a relatively happy note. For me, this would be heartbreaking. HachiXTakumi is my favorite couple. I was one of the very few people who were actually upset upon seeing Hachi get together with Nobu and happy seeing her relationship with him end.

No one can say for sure whether this will end happily, unfortunately. However, I've believed from the start that this will have a sad ending.

;____; Started crying because of Hachi. The guilt of knowing that she could have stopped the death of her best friend's lover- her feeling responsible for that. It's a huge weight to bear. Then started crying harder when I saw Shin crying in that position right before Hachi ran to embrace him. Teared up more seeing Nobu and Takumi seeing his body and that his body was destroyed because of the impact. Then upon seeing them meet up with Nana, Yasu crying and then Nana saying that time stopped for her right before she turned 21. Her lover died the night before her birthday. Her life has really sucked. ;___; Now I'm wondering how their last conversation was again.



I love this series, it's so real.

Is that true?



If so, maybe they all THINK he's dead, then they THINK Nana commits suicide (she runs away), only to find out Ren will survive after she's gone.

Omg, I Can't accept ren's dead, but It seems a fine episode very realistic, but I don't like the drama about the death in birthday's nana, It seems like a soap opera.



After all, I think, Nana will want only to see the face of hatchi, she is the only one who is her "familiar" by the conecction in their friendship (like sisters?) well.



If this chapter would have a ending (anime), it will be (i think) 78 (first part): the song "Winter Sleep"

[It keeps coming back to me, I remember this pain

It spreads across my eyes

Everything is dull...]



And the 78 (second part): the song: "Kuroi Namida"

[I can't count the nights

When I've hoped tomorrow won't come...

Well I think that those songs fit at all with the chapters.



I hope that NANA and Hatchi will meet because they will need each other.

why did ren has to die die he's was an amazing character????????????????????????????????? he's the coolest character ever. he's so handsome, devoted, loyal, super cute, adorable, funny, fun, interesting, exiciting, so good looking, talented and sooooooooooooo in love with nana no one will ever love her as much as him.

Even with all the foreshadowing it was still heartbreaking to see it finally happen.  Especially now when Nana is already feeling hopelessly alone :(  



I guess the moment I realized Ren was going to die was when I realized the Ren in the future was not the same Ren as from the past.  Usually when a child is named after an adult it is to honor their memory.
