Ouran High School Host Club Chapter 1 Discussion

i’ve never been so confused when reading a manga. it felt like a surrealcore rich kid comedy. but i’ll keep reading anyways

Edit: i changed my mind, this manga is amazing, its weird because it’s special 

I just finished the anime T-T

And I decided to give the manga Try since the anime is  probably not getting  season two.

And woah Haruhi has huge eyes O_O

compared to the haruhi in the anime, the haruhi from manga has huge eyes.

This was the most brain smoothening chapter I've read in quite a while. I cycled between knowing what was going on and having absolutely no fucking clue two pages later. I think I'm just tired of how Japan uses melodrama as a crutch for every joke at this point because it was painfully unfunny.



I may give a few other chapters a go, but I think I can say pretty confidently that this isn't for me, which is truly shocking I thought a manga appealing to adolescent Japanese girls would be right up my alley.

                        so far the anime was better, hopefully it'll improve.

The one thing that I never got into with this manga was how wordy it was and the panels are just jumbled together. I usually prefer panels that are spacious and a little spread out so it doesn’t strain the eyes, but with Ouran I’m constantly having to strain my eyes to read every little bit of text. There’s so much text. Idk if anyone else has the same issue but this is just me lol. It’s been a long time since I’ve read this series so hopefully it gets easier to read as I keep going.

Ok finally time to reading the manga. Though I've watched the anime a while ago I haven't started the manga until now.
