I like that Goku was willing to follow the mayor's advice and let him die if necessary, it's not necessarily the most heroic quality but I do think there's more earnesty in following someone's wishes. And the mayor flip-flopping once he realized that was pretty funny too.
Pretty good resolution to this little trifle with White too. I really like that White was weakest of the challenges, basically being a step above all the fodder before Full Metal Jacket. The expectation is usually you save the strongest for last, and the top of the tower would feature the biggest obstacle, but this is more amusing, and kinda more fitting. I'm also glad that Goku didn't just solve everything here, and that Android 8 delivered the final blow. Not much of a character arc, but it was nice to see him overcome his fear of fighting to save Goku.
