The ending was a bit disappointing. I imagined it would have been better. Felt like a troll ending. So the moon will be black forever. The end '"Soul Eater NOT!" will start again in November issue', so is this series over or will the there be a continuation but it's called Soul Eater NOT! ?

The Journey has ended!

Boobs! Seems like everyone likes em. Madness of Boobs! Woa I would love that!

The ending was much much better then the Anime so that is good.

As much as I didn't like all that Maka handling everything feeling and the worst for me was her connection with Crona that Friendship felt so awkward for me one for the reason that Crona was a wtf was he/she two because I didn't feel near the end that Crona still deserved that Maka's friend support. But I guess that made up for the fact that Crona sacrificed him/her self to seal the Kishin Asura withing the Mad Blood/Black Blood Full Dome around the Moon which now remains as a symbol of conquering Madness and a new world.

Little bit more about some negatives for ME:

1 - The power level in this series was off  a lot of time.

- Main was Maka and Soul at some point they were really strong and at others weak, and their power at time felt like it was not really theirs but the help of a foreign power the Black Blood, which is not really theirs unless they accept it as their own power and that doesn't happen till the very end. So that made their reasoning for power up very invalid for me at times.

- Then there was Soul, who as a weapon wasn't really able to fight alone well as say Harvar, Justin, or Giriko at first I understood maybe some weapons can't but even after becoming a Death Scythe he wasn't truly able to fight alone. Which at time would of helped. However again as a wielded weapon weapon he became far Superior, being able to counter attacks & wavelengths, hack  attacks to counter them and counter madness plus more. The point was the Power level was not showed well till the end.

2 - Simply the Dumb or/and Smart Gorgon Sisters

- First was the stupid Arachne a powerful witch who made a stupid mistake to give her body up for astral power over madness after and if she was able to take over the Kishin Madness, like wtf was with that! Especially when you yourself say it was a mistake to give up my power by abandoning my body...

- Then there was the debatable dumb or/and Smart Medusa. She was brilliant for almost all the time she appeared Til her Chosen? death. Why would she just die out like that for a success of a plan that he would never be able to see through. That part made me a bit mad maybe more. But then you thing was she still the smartest? Her goal was always experiment and evolution. That goal I would say she did achieve. That was the Black Blood! The Black Blood allowed her son to be near invincible, allowed for the Kishin to be revived, allowed for the Main Characters Soul and Maka to all of their major battles and shit what do you know? that Black Blood allowed Crona to seal up the Kishin in the end! The heck Medusa Smart or Dumb a bit leaning to the Smart I would say, and the negative of her was just her death.

And now the Good stuff:

Black Star! and Tsubaki! Need I say more? But I want to. I always found their journey a little bit more interesting then Maka/Soul and Kidd/Liz/Patty. They went from Reckless Strong to God Tier Powerful. Heck Black Start by the end can fly own his own!!! Truly The Most Power Physical Strength Duo.

Death the Kidd's symmetrical problems was made of win so many times. The Sisters were a good support to him. Tho like with most weapons we did not get much out of them as far as back story goes but still we got plenty of them. He will surly being About Order from now on without using the Madness of Order. Tho its nice to know he can be powerful when the time comes post series I guess.

Soul And Maka. Really they should made Soul the Main Character but it was Maka what can you do now. Anyway despite the over amount of Maka, the presence of Soul made the Duo A lot bearable and at the end and by the end they were much much more likable. They should have start the series off with the Piano Scythe to match Souls love for Music and Maka's talent for Soul Perception. It would have made battle a lot more interesting.  They probably were the Best Versatile Fighters!

What made the series good as a whole was Great Support  Characters like Stein, Maria, Kim, Kirikou, Shinigami, and almost all of the Death Scythe's. And you had to give it to the Secondary Trio they made the latter part of the series a lot more interesting.

Back to my As much as I didn't like all that Maka handling everything feeling: the last chapter plus Black Star and Death the Kidd/Shinigama  made up for that down feeling and allowed me to like the series a bit more as a whole.

The Last Chapter Felt like a good Closer for me. It also has a lot of potential for future story in the same world if the Mangaka wanted to add more. First off he can start off by Broken Alliance! More but since unlikely I'll stop it at that.

Again the last chapter felt good for me in many ways.

Kishin Asura not really dead just sealed again via Crona Sacrifice.

Yay for Gopher I guess since he gets all the Noah? What is he gonna do with them???

YAY YAY Stein you go man! So happy that feeling that He and Marie belong together actually came true! And a Baby along the way Sweet!

Black Star god dam you Uber Powerful You and Kidd will defiantly keep Death City Safe.

Good to know Blair is still the usual self.

Seems like Soul is popular still with that one chick we who we didn't really get much of just that she wanted Soul, and the 2 Soul Eater Not Female Leads were there next to her too!!!

And Woa seems like Maka does indeed feel happy with Soul and flag for an eventually paring between them.

Anyway shit ^ up there was too long Sorry!!! Good stuff has ended! On to the next!

I love how when I saw the Soul Eater anime, I somewhat enjoyed it despite the inconsistencies and the bad ending, but I did hold it off to eventually try the manga hoping the manga had a good ending to really solidify Soul Eater as a good product.

And then I read the manga and while the art and aesthetics are solid, man the manga's somewhat just way way worse. The anime had a bad ending but the manga felt too abrupt and the story felt much more tedious and uninspired to grind through. Anime at least had other stuff to keep me interested, and I liked how the anime looked more than the manga too.

Very, very disappointed the manga ending and just experience was so flat compared to the anime.

Oh what? This actually sucks, you're kidding me, the Kishin isn't dead? Chrona's still trapped? The moon is black? What the hell is this ending? At least in the sub-par anime ending they actually BEAT the Kishin, and Chrona is OK and the moon isn't full of black blood, good manga all the same, deserves a new anime, but this ending absolutely sucks

I quite liked the ending I agree that if you have been reading chapter by chapter it may seem like a let down, but reading it as a volume lets you keep pace with the battle and it seems more action packed, plus the open ending does allow further development in the far future.

Lets hope the Soul Eater NOT doesn't ruin anymore of the setting by trying to contextualize it, I mean come on, Las Vegas.

For those who don't know why MAL has 117 chapters registered, it is because there has been 117 chapters, but officially only 113 have been recognized as chapters in the serialization most scans have the chapters down as chapter0/pilot plus chapters 1a 1b, ect.
