I had some mixed feelings about this ending. It was nice to have some closure to the story, but there was a lot that could have been expanded on such as more in depth character backgrounds and like people said, info on maka's mom. With all of the ways to end a series, I think that it was poor to waste space with so much fanservice filler. I understand that yes it was connected to the story because of crona's need for a mother figure, however I feel that this connection is a far stretch, excuse to use fanservice as the ending of the series. I know that humor and ecchi is a prominent theme in the series, and that Atsushi wanted to bring that feeling back into the story after the long serious battle with the kishin. However, I do not think that concept should have been the center of the ending and that it should have been a little more focused. Even though the ending was not optimal, I still very much enjoyed this series as a whole.
