Lol, it looks like we're starting an arc, rather than ending one. When Sorachi said that we're entering the climax of the arc, did he mean to say that we're entering the "second-half"? But yeah, this chapter brought up some interesting plot points and it seems like a bigger problem is arising. First of all, timeskip Gintoki, Takasugi and Hijikata, still look the same (besides Gintoki and Hijikata's change in outfit). We got a bit of a clash between Gintoki and Takasugi. According to Hijikata, Takasugi probably freed all the Altana-powered Tendoushuu and they'll be wanting back their Altana. But Takasugi's role here is still left a mystery. I don't think Sorachi's writing him up as a full antagonist, but rather someone in the middle of the spectrum. The way Takasugi talked felt like as if he wanted Gintoki out of the situation for his own good. Maybe Takasugi's planning on taking down Utsuro by himself, assuming that Utsuro is still alive.
But really, is Sorachi actually planning on wrapping up this series? :P
5/5
But the fact that Takasugi himself seems to have a fundamental change in his power (which he apparently took willingly) makes it more like he's planning to "end" that which Gintoki couldn't. It seems to me that he's planning on ending all the altana shit alongside himself, but he just needed those powers in order to accomplish that.
Basically I'm thinking that Takasugi is going to sacrifice himself. But Utsuro's status remains a mystery for now.Yeah, that seems quite likely. There's also the mystery of how everyone was able to survive the crash of the ship. Takasugi must've done something, and my assumption was that he used Altana to keep everyone alive, including himself.
