Gintama Chapter 591 Discussion

Oh man, this chapter did it. More than 519, more than 549, it was this chapter, that utterly broke & devastated me.



This isn't just one of the best chapters of this arc, it is one of the greatest chapters in Gintama.

That Sorachi making us feel sad with the villains, poor Oboro...

Them ninja chopping them onions. Why Gorilla-Sama? I better leave some hemorrhoid patches for them ninjas though :P

That panel with Oboro walking past Shouyo, Gintoki and co, was utterly heartbreaking

That part when Oboro was looking at Shoyo with his disciples was pretty sad. Oboro suddenly became a likable character, haha. Also, Takasugi won't be able to eat anything for a while...

Utsuro: Oboro… my disciple, thanks to you I was able to meet those kids, thanks to you I was able to be Yoshida Shoyo…thank you….. I am sorry, I was able to teach those kids what I was meant to….to be so proud of my disciple



*Utsuro is taken away as Oboro faces his back to him*

These lines are so strong, I really hope Oboro doesn't die off just like that, atleast let Utsuro see him through :'(



On the other, Utsuro's life is just as terrible, to form bonds and see them die before his eyes.

this chapter made me dislike Takasugi more and now i'm somehow starting to feel sorry for Oboro, even though i never cared about him.

Ok so I've binge-read the chapters that follow the anime's ending and... just WOW. This arc is so fucking awesome. Gintama did it again :o

Oboro is the real MVP :-[

Oboro did everything he could to help Shouyou escape, a nice thing, but his jealousy made him ruin everything.

Takasugi's wound is scary!

Being Yoshida's student is suffering.

Reading the raws for me ddnt help, probably because cuz of the site i was reading them...ill wait til proper translations come out. But from what i c oboro was a good disciple to usturo.



Good chapter although i dont think it changes how i feel about his overall character:/
