Kamui, just like sasuke....towards the end he really did lose his mind, but i still have some sympathy for him thought, i hope kagura puts some sense back into him nd i hope gintoki doesnt make an appearance just yet.

We still need to hear Kagura's side of the story, i bet she had no idea what the f#ck was going on, all she knew was that her mom was deathly ill, her brother suddenly attacked their dad, then he left...

Man this is such a broken up family. I hope all ends well...

Kamui really grew up to be strong as now he;s probably stronger than Abuto and on par with Housen. More Kagura vs. Kamui coming up!

5/5

Well going off the Yoshiwara in Flames arc, Kamui isn't stronger than Housen. He was close to being a match, but still was losing the fight. Also Housen wasn't in his prime form, so i imagine Housen would convincingly beat Kamui if he was in top shape.

I don't recall kamui being seriously into that so called fight, most of the time it looked like he was just playing around with housen. If abuto said kagura was capable of defeating housen then whose to say kamui couldn't do the same? : /

Ohh minor cameo for Hosen! Kamui's past is pretty damn amazing, and it just makes all the more sense why he hates Umibouzu so much now. Kagura vs Kamui, I wonder how the hell she plans on stopping him (if she can even do that...)

tbh, I really wanted a good backstory continuation for Kamui (like in the previous chapter) and a character development, but what I get...

I understand his love for his mom and all the efforts he had done, that he was a little kid, who wanted his mother to live no matter what. It's normal. But now Kamui hasn't changed at all, he still wants to kill his dad, despite having been saved from utsuro, and his reasons and motivation are quite unjustified.

So my opinion is that this is the worst Kamui chapter ever, Sorachi totally ruined him. -.-

You are missing the point of Kamui's motivations....I'll summarise it. Kamui still hates Umibozu because of the mentality ('get stronger') he taught Kamui. After Umibozu failed to prevent Kouka's death, Kamui started to think this was a false kind of strength that couldn't protect the ones he held dear. He sought out a different kind of strength in Hosen. Strength which would cause him to abandon his family, attempt to kill Umibozu and save Kouka. He'd become a villain with nothing, but the mentality of 'become the strongest'. In other words he's been reduced to nothing, so killing Umibozu and becoming the strongest are his only goals in life. That's why he's so twisted.

And there will be character growth. We are not even out of his back story yet. Have patience.

Kamui you poor soul. I feel for you, bro.

But.. this isn't the path. And our famous heroine Kagura is gonna show you just that

I really hope it's not both father and son who die ;_;

I'm still not sure how Kamui came to that conclusion. .-.

This chapter makes me miss the times when Kamui was still smiling and insulting people. :(

Poor Kamui really cared about his mother. Feeling really bad for the dude.

Time to continue the fight!

So much Kamui.. It's great. He just wanted to keep his mom alive the whole time.
