Gintama Chapter 523 Discussion

Shinsengumi. Nailed it. Zura wasn't there though...



The part with Hijikata made me laugh though. XD Classic.

Great chapter and this was some Back to the Future type "twist" at the end.

Phenomenal arc.

I'll rant first... Need to release my 30% straight man tendencies

THE HELL ZURA! YOU DIDN'T APPEAR IN THIS ARC AS AN ADULT! DID YOU PLAY HIDE AND SEEK WITH KUROKONO TASUKE?! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU HIDE THIS TIME? IN A CAVE? VOLCANO? GIVE ME A BREAK MAN! AT THE LEAST YOU CAN SAY HI TO TAKA-KUN. AND SOON ENOUGH, YOU'LL COMPLAIN YOU DIDN'T APPEAR IN THIS ARC! DON'T YOU DARE TO COMPLAIN OF LACKING OF SCREEN TIME DAMMIT!

Now in a more serious manner, I did feel some disappointment on the ending of this arc(about 15%). I do honestly think it can extend for at least 2 chapter the most before ending. But oh well, Sorachi has the final say about this.

It's implied before this recent chapter; the most possible one who will save them is Matsudaira and the Shinsengumi. But frankly, I want Zura to save Takasugi and Gintoki.

A prediction of mine: The big and final boss will be the Tendoshuu and Naraku. But the final battle, for all the yakults and strawberry milks, will be Takasugi and Gintoki.

AH SHIEEEZ MY SOUGO BB IS BACK!!!



and so the war is over for the meantime huh? WHERE WAS ZURA!!!!!! dang he missed out on such a huge thing again!!!!

and welp, sinnce the enemies have retreated, this is kinda like a huge assurance that gintama isnt gonna end very soon!! what a relief!! <3 this whole arc sseemed like it was on the road to the series' conclusion haha! now hopefully we will be going back to the dirty jokes soon!...

Amazing like always but man they could of at least shown Katsura :/



This scene killed me though.

Gintama is back, nice one Sougo, and Afro is here too..

Little sad its not Zura or Sakamuto, but it ended the war..

I don´t care what anyone else says, I loved this chapter! Gintama is one of the few good pieces of media that can get you really excited and motivated while still having good comedy.

Awesome chapter. Loved the part where Gintoki and Takasugi were carried out in separate directions. Sougo still trolling. Also Gintoki at the end to Zenzo ;_;

Looks like this arc is over. I enjoyed it. Too bad wee didn't see Katsura in this arc.

No. I refuse. This arc was epic and should be THE LAST ARC.



What now? Another 50 or 100 chapters non-canon? Just no. In April anime back, so manga must be continued? Manga + Anime = More money.



This manga has 500 chapters this is too big for this parody. Im scared that this series will be ruins like Naruto and Bleach. This arc was the best moment to end this manga. Probably better moment than this will not be.

Where is Zura?

Ok, so....does this mean that Gin and Takasugi are pals again or are they just turning back to stage one?
