Gintama Chapter 519 Discussion

Wow that ending. Didn't see that one coming.

Oh god, That sure is a serious twist for a series like Gintama.



Even though its very well done At this moment, where did that comedic Sorachi-sensei go I wonder.

I sure did not expect Sorachi of all mangaka to make that plot twist. This gotta be one of the most insane revelations of the year for Jump

Farewell, Gintama.It will never be the same again....

This just changed Gintama and the rivalry right through its very core. Sorachi's idea of grudge between former comrades is vastly superior compared to other cliche'd shounen series. This is how it's done. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never  see Gintoki and the rest of the gang the same way ever again. I mean SWEET BABY JESUS, that was one hell of a chapter.



Sorachi doesn't have to kill a main character to break hearts. This is some next level shit. All those ignorant souls who think Gintama can never pull a seriously dramatic arc with a major twist.. boy do I have news for you.

Now that's something we don't know. We always (or at least I did) assumed that....you know. The enemy did it, but they didn't.



This is probably the point where their actions split off each other. Takasugi and Gintoki that is. How they ended up at each other's throats.

Halfway through this chapter I was wondering wtf  happened to Takasugi to make him hate Gin so much (since I don't think it was ever explained - was just always 'they've gone down separate paths')....and then it was all clear at the end. CAN'T believe it!! O.O

That plot twist was insane. Gintoki was the one who killed Shouyou-sensei, though he didn't have any other choice. Now we find out why Takasugi hates Gintoki so much!
