Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Chapter 409 Discussion

What the hell? What kind of ending is that? What about the mystery behind Hibari's parents? What about the character development?

None of the female characters had any development and Tsuna is still Dame-Tsuna! I was hoping for a cool ending with him finally accepting his role and becoming a total badass to prove to everyone else what he's really capable of. And most importantly... TYL Tsuna's FACE! Why couldn't you at least give us that Amano?! Why...?

Sayonara Reborn. Even though you had the worst ending ever, you're still my favourite manga series. I'll miss you Hibari! *cries*

JOTTO, MAL!!

You say that KHR has 42 volumes and 409 chapters! But 42nd volume is yet to come, in March, so there will be more chapters!

Correct or explain!

Pretty crappy ending with Tsuna, still being the same lame crappy person, couldn't we get a little time skip.

After the Varia Arc, I thought sky is the limit. I wasn't a big fan of the Future Arc but still ok I admit. But after that, it was nothing but arc that never really built on anything, not even the slightest character development, and in the end, no commitment of Tsuna, no relationships, nothing really.

Just back to square one, and even for a shounen series, that was just a painful drag to the finish line after a great beginning, and some nice impactful moments.

My only real joyful memory of this manga will be his first few transformations, in particular vs Mukuro and Xanxus, as well as his training with future Hibari. After that well meh.

What i'm saying is just to don't overeact about the ending because the ending it's a small part of a whole.

Completly wrong. Endings can change everything. Don't believe me? Take a look at Usagi drops ending and try to tell me that didn't change the whole manga.

So let's look at this ending. Everything was builting up to the point where Tsuna finally accepts his destiny and improves himself. All that was needed to make this a decent end was to have him accept being the Tenth and confess to the girl he loves. However even this ending went out of it's way to point out that Tsuna has not changed at all and without reborn he is worthless. Not only that, it didn't tie up the romance either. Conclusion? This entire manga has been rendered completly pointless. The future arc? The Varia arc? Didn't matter if they happen at all. There was no result. You can't just push that away and say it's only an ending.

Precisely!

Good to see that not every KHR reader is a brainless fangirl who closes her eyes and accept everything without question. People care about rating but they can't/don't wanna see the plot holes.

That was such a terrible ending. Nothing happened. The last few chapters were especially weird since they were how the series started which wasn't very good. I felt like she tried too hard to include the characters she created when this was a gag manga in the battle manga aspect of te story. It was too forced.

I dropped this series when the last arc started. I couldn't take anymore of the terrible writing. You don't need to remind the reader of small details every chapter (like putting a thought bubble that has Tsuna saying "oh yeah mom doesn't know anything"). When I saw it had ended I quickly finished it and it's just not leaving a very good taste in my mouth. When Checkerface revealed himself I didn't even remember who the old dude was. Sigh. After getting thru the terrible gag portion the varia arc really got me hooked...the future arc started good and then quickly got boring...and the Simon arc made me drop the series. Anyway overall 6/10 I guess.
