Yu☆Gi☆Oh! Chapter 91 Discussion

                        Another great chapter and conclusion of this match. Jonouchi is still getting overwhelmed by his opponent and begins to question his resolve, but after drawing his Red Eyes Black Dragon and remembering his promise to Yugi, he's able to start turning things around. He was able to get rid of the Pumpking that was boosting the attack power of the zombies. Then he got lucky drawing the Shield and Sword spell card. Ultimately, his opponents had their attack and defense points switched and now they have no attack power. Even with a weak monster, Jonouchi was still able to defeat his opponents monsters and win the match. Made me laugh that Bandit Keith called Kozuka an idiot when it was him who was controlling his every move. Haha.

Now Yugi and the gang have shown up, so hopefully Yugi will start whooping some ass now. Starting with Bandit Keith.

Jonouchi won completely by his own power and convictions! And ofc a little bit of luck. The whole duel demonstrated his growth as a duelist and portrayed the defeat of his insecurities as he comes to believe in his own strength!



Naturally in the anime they decided that having Yugi come and bail him out in the middle of the duel was a great idea. Yeah, let's completely undermining Jonouchi's character development! He really got the short end of the stick in the anime.
