They started dating before I even realized it, and I don't know why.Thats what I was thinking aswell, considering that they even kissed each other.
But then Ito thinks to herself "Now that you mention it... We are not in love. We are not dating."
Then why are they kissing each other?
Edit: I think this isn't really a spoiler, so I will just add it here.
In Volume 9 Makoto will refer to their gathering at the pool during the night in chapter 2 as their "first date". So yeah, the pacing really is a bit weird in the beginning.

I feel like it is missing "emotion" . . . Not sure how to explain it but the series seems kind of flat right now. Like it's okay, but the atmosphere just isn't there. Anyways, I'm not sure why the fiance decides she wants to play fair about not spilling Makoto's secret but at the same time does stuff like taking kidnapping Ito to have the play cancelled.Exactly how I feel as well. Unfortunately I'll be dropping the manga here. The progression in these 3 chapters is too fast. They started dating before I even realized it, and I don't know why. The 'trust' isn't even there between Ito and Makoto.
If it gets a lot better later on, someone please do leave me a message. I don't want to miss out on a good manga just because it started badly.
