Pet Shop of Horrors Chapter 41 Discussion

How are y'all rating this a 6/10?! This was a 10/10 series for me.  Some stories were definitely better than other, but they each represented the themes that this manga was going for.  The themes of humanity.  The good and bad.  Juxtaposed with a religion allegory and reference, such as Chris never returning the Paradise, the girl finally reaching Nirvana, the themes of generational cycles compared to reincarnation, etc.  The art gave, the characters gave, like...  Everything just gave!

A nice reading overall. Some stories were interesting, some weren't that much, I also liked the cast and their interactions together. I'm glad the manga showed more about D's past.

I wasn''t expecting much from the ending, it was an alright conclusion. Some stories were pretty good including the singing bird, the jaguar, the ballerina and others.

Well that was quite a read. It was a fun experience, even if the stories weren't exactly that interesting. Nonetheless, I always appreciate an episodic series that maintains internal continuity. Count D was an interesting character and Leon was a bit of a pain in the ass but I did like their dynamic. 6/10.

a great ending to a great manga, i never been one for episodic media but this felt different, not only was the constant intrigue about the true nature of the count but the stories themselves were always interesting.

The last few pages made me cry. Everything in this chapter, starting from my reaction to Q-chan, pretty much made me hysterical.



The conclusion felt perfect; it fell in well with all the insanity the manga covered.
