I would only accept an ending with them not wearing school clothes at this point. Most of them have graduated, haven't they?

for whoever is reading my comment , if you found the ending shitty then you must read chapter 283.3 and 283.4 !! those 2 chapters will make this ending way more bearable !!after many years i had to reread for the lack of something good romcom lately, Harima still didn't end up with Yakumo ffs and that is still heart wrenching for me

i never had been trolled so hard in my life.
I really didn't expected the series to finish that way. The Karasuma-tenma ending was ok, the all studying for his cause. But harima who apparently got through tenma (with the throw glasses thing) just goes "tenma-chan at the end of the series" what was that?
this series had a lot of potential, but when the karasuma-tenma had their ending and there was just a 30 pages to finnish you could expect that it would go be as it were.
In the end Harima just got to live with yakumo and it didn't go anywhere, i mean, they must become more close and got to talk more openly, and the author totally ignored it. Yakumo disappear in the series as a strong character after she confessed.
The engaggement Harima-eri thing appeared to be something nice, but you turn the page and it's all over, and harima just give up on the mangaka life for walk through the country playing guitar and drawing. (sure...¬¬)
A lot of characters didn't get a ending, I read School Rumble Z, and it totally didn't make it better, that Harima-Eri with baby was just a future supposition.
I have imagined a better final for the series (at least, for me. I'm ignoring the school Rumble Z):
"In that trip to America, Harima see tenma with karasuma and becomes sad, and then yakumo offer him a tissue and he look at her surprised, he starts to remember all the times she(yakumo) was with him and smile without saying nothing, then show a lot of panels of the pie-fight (ok, I'll let that pass), they all take a photo together. Back in Japan, the scene shows yakumo and Harima in the drawing room, and yakumo is reading his manuscript, then she asks: The girl (that looks like tenma) leaves the main character? And who is this new girl that appeared ? and she point to a new girl in the panel, who looks a lot like her, that is hand-holding the main character. then he answers: "Maybe it's time for a new beginning. *
*Then he look at her, she blushes and show some panel of both laughing and ends with a frame of Iori laying on the floor next to some manuscripts.
Alternative End:
* then he kisses her, the panel show just their chests, and then she lower the manuscript on the table and hug him and ends with a frame of Iori laying on the floor next to some manuscripts."
And maybe an Extra Volume with short histories of everyone's ending."
