3. If they had died during that scene, we wouldn't know what kind of wounds they had sustained, as the ending scene would take place in Shinichi's head. They could have both fallen from the roof, for all we know.
1. I haven't read the scanlated version; I just mentioned Del-Rey to clarify that it's the version that I read and based my statements according to the translation in it.
2. Satomi's use of "they think we're dead too" equates that "we look like dead to them since we are lying on the floor like the victims, but we're not", which is yeah, I consider it a strong proof that they had survived.
3. Actually, Iwaaki had confirmed Shinichi's survival in the interview in vol. 8, Del-Rey edition:
"Shinichi and Migi are both pretty much alive... (But please don't turn pro and actually continue their adventures. We do have Copyright laws!)
