Kiseijuu Chapter 1 Discussion

Gotta say that every time I read the manga I get more out of it, and this time is no different.  Also, I love how you call Parasyte a classic because not too many people have read it since it kind of slipped under the radar on its first release.  But I have to agree with you, it's probably my favorite manga of all time.

It seems like some guy wants to reduce the human population by 99% to achieve the goal of saving more trees and reducing population... Lets see how that turns out with these nasty looking parasites.

The first chapter was pretty cool and very promising, I also laughed hard at a few of the jokes(hopefully they're intentional)

Dat hand. Oh God that was creepy. I'm not sure what to think so far but it has my attention with its aliens.

I guess, in my area it had a couple of volumes on the shelves but other than that ... not really.  I was barely able to read the entire thing and I had to travel to several different bookstores to do it.  However, it was one of the first manga to be sent overseas so I guess that classic would be a good word for it ... if only for that reason.  Gotta say, I just love this series and I wish that there could be more manga this good.  (So far I've only found two that even compare: Neon Genesis Evangelion and Junk: Record of the Last Hero.)
