This looks really interesting. The parasite doesn't seem to harm the infected, just the people around them... or not the main character at least. I wonder who that someone is at the beginning.
I'd never put in so much time thinking about the implications of viral literature (unless the Bible counts) until I was introduced to Japanese cultural books that I could access at my leisure. :‑X
