Wasn't expect such an accepting end, nothing was really solved, just accepted.

I can never look at spirals the same way as before reading this manga

Woah, this was an interesting ride...

Well, i loved it. The characters not escaping and actually "losing" against the spiral adds a bit of realism and i'm happy the author didn't go for a happy-ever-after ending, which would break the manga for me.

I'm glad they didn't fully explain the spiral's mystery. Because well, why be scared of something if you fully understand it? I think this is what Junji Ito was going for.

easily 9/10

And of course, i'll be checking more of the author's works out!

Happy Halloween if you're reading this on the 31st!

Interesting, none the less. Also the final chapter was really good.

But for me this shit was more of a bizarre/absurd and comedic manga than a disturbing/horror one. I don't know if that speaks on how messed up my head already is due to horror and creepy pasta, but I was expecting something a little bit better I will say.

4/10. I will still watch the anime though, if they adapt it decently it can be something quite unpleasant to see, in a good way.

Chapter 5 was the most random shit I have seen, and to my taste, the scariest story was the one with the preg women and the doctor. The first story about the slugs was hilarious as well. Never in my life expected to see some bully and the victim became a hermaphrodite couple.

Fantastic art, creative for moments... but pretty lazy in terms of writing/overall execution.

5/10 - Extra chapter was kinda meh as well.

1 word: Terrifying

This was honestly not the kind of ending I expected from the first horror manga I read. I thought Ito would show some extreme imagery but no he did it way better. The entire aspect of the unknown and the magnificent imagery of the spirals gives out a fear you don't even know about. This entire series was scary in itself but this whole idea of a town basically built on spirals waiting for an event to awaken gives you chills and questions that what if something similar to this happens in real life. 9/10 absolutely horrifying experience.
