Well it makes sense if everyone who knew about the spiral disappeared.. so everything repeats itself like a spiral.

What was even the point of Chie sticking with the group? She just got randomly killed in this chapter.

Let's not fight over the means of getting to the pond everyone... The point is, we may be able to figure out the curse of the Spiral now.

They don't need ladders. the row houses are short enough to climb without ladders.

Random? No, it was quite scary when you think. Getting stuck in that building is an awful way to go.



She was on a timer anyway just like the rest of the group.

That's some serious despair I would feel in their place. People turning into snails, people tangling themselves and lovers becoming sea serpents?

Looks like Shuiichi and Kirie have some special connection to the spiral and all the other plebs, even  her brother, were less lucky. That kind of discards rituals being done by their ancestors.
