Gantz Chapter 383 Discussion

I felt empty after finishing reading it....... OTL.........Knew it was going to be a rushed ending but still QQ



Final score is 8/10. I sincerely love this series with all my heart despite the rushed ending.

Imagine being a Gantz fan and spending years reading the final arc with a blindfold on. Y'all are such dramaqueens. I went into this expecting a dogpoo ending because of the reputation everyone gave it. I liked the ending arc and this final chapter was satisfying. Thank you, Oku Hiroya, for this great series.

Just read the RAW, won't be going back to reread it once the translated version is out.



Rushed doesn't even begin to describe this train wreck of a conclusion, it is by far the most underwhelming ending you could possibly give a series like this. They defeat the alien, manage to escape back to earth as the alien ship caves in upon itself and are reunited with Tae and Kato's brother on the beach of plot convenience. The end, everybody gets a happy ending, no further closure to be found.



I wouldn't have a problem with this if it wasn't completely contrary to the theme of the series had built up to this point (as bland and as same old as it was). It's clear that Oku is just fed up with Gantz  so if he can't care then I'm not going to bother either. This is the worst manga ending that I have read so far and is a hot contender for having one of the worst endings of any story based medium ever. 1/5.

Pretty much every manga ends with that line for your information.

Great ride for this manga even if the destination was awful.

When it was good, this was one of the best manga's ever made. But the ending is a bit flat and a lot of plot holes went unexplained.

Perfect but I didn't like the final at all

Huge disappointment, the whole series was brilliant except for the last arc which was rushed and full of lazy writing/storytelling. I found the whole end of the world invasion as an easy plot device to end the manga fast, easy and add too many dumb shit/moments. The last arc I truly enjoyed was the Nurarihyon Alien mission, also the Italian mission was good.



Goodbye Gantz, I will never forget the epic train scene where the train gets sliced in half, the sex scenes, when Izumi disguises himself as a black man and kills almost 400 people in broad daylight, when you killed the main character in an epic way, oh and when Hoi Hoi (the panda) earned 40 points... goodbye.
