I don't think I have ever read a manga that shows so little with so many pages on a chapter to chapter basis like Gantz does.

Seriously, just end this already....

i am confused at these final enemies fighting style, they seem to be detaching their arms an even teleporting them as they fight (in the previous chapter Kimbo Slice had several fists on a single panel an now Mike Tyson punched the black ball even though he wasn't even close to it)

anyways eva Gund finally enters the fight

btw the aliens have Mike Tyson and Javier Bardem among their ranks

I was 100% sure that that was definitely Mike Tyson and but I wasn't too sure if I saw Anton Chigurh, so I'm glad that you've confirmed it lol.

Also not surprised that Oku would be a fan of dark films like No Country for Old Men.

This series seriously needs to end before it loses me completely. WAAAAY too much filler. It's been like this for the last three chapters. Every page has at least 2 panels of people just looking at each other...then every 5 pages is a full page portrait of someone saying 10 words!!

TERRIBLE STORYTELLING.

WRAP IT UP.

"Next CHAPTER!"

*Close up of someones face*

*Close up of someones face getting smashed in*

*Earth Scene*

*Kei looking at the screen*

*Chapter End*

Month of waiting for the new chapter... And nothing happened...

Why, Oku?..

Overall the this chapter contained way too much fluff : half the pages were filled with mostly expressionless faces with no story.

The story content was  on the other half. it was pretty obvious from the get go that the character previously introduced as the alien's champion(pale with long blonde hair) would be the badass to put the Gantz griefers in their place but I wonder why he is stalling so much with empty scenes.

Overall my prediction for this Stage: I think this Stage of aftermath of the Catastrophe event is meant to explore how the characters handle their exposure and attempt to return to their life once everyone knows what they are.

The Dramatic question is Will they find social acceptance?

Assuming the author actually knows what he is doing: This setup of showing the fight and Kei getting compliments for rescuing Reika, is meant to emphasis the exposure of the Gantz teams and imply to the everyday people at their peculiar appetite for violence that presents them as either honorable fighters or power-drunk idiots who think that they are playing zelda.

Unrelated part of the post:

More than anything this chapter makes me miss stage 1 and 2 of Gantz where it was an altered surreal version of (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFO:_Enemy_Unknown) and the Gantz was still a perilous enigma which gave room to explore different characters entering this setting, their inevitable unforgiving death and their attempt to find meaning in it all.
