This is a tragedy especially this far into the story. She killed the monster and saved Kei but she also died before he regained consciousness, pulling off a Tonkotsu... Everything Kei said about never hating her might be true or it's just something he thought that she'd like to hear but either way, it more or less looks like she's gone now. He appreciated her too late.
