Gantz Chapter 348 Discussion

What a cruel disease... I'm glad that even in a wave of popularity for their conquerors. Dissent and truth still remain no matter how small.

Sigh....why is it that everyone is suddenly pro Alien? These guys destroyed America, slaughtered millions for no real reason, suddenly they make a peace treaty and paint the ones with the only effective weapons as terrorists. And yet, NO ONE IS SUSPICIOUS! If this was reality there would be at least one person saying "hey guys I still don't trust them." and he wouldn't be one of the people who were abducted.

But well this has always been the problem with Gantz. Anyone who doesn't suit up or isn't closely related to the main characters is either evil, stupid or stupid and evil.

The manga is just showing that the majority of humans are in favour of peace and have been fooled into believing the aliens want it too.  Obviously it's an action manga so it's not going to explore this in a complex fashion, having one dissenting voice in an online forum does the job.

It's like the British government continuing to appease Hitler despite the fact that he just destroyed Austria and Czechoslovakia.  (sorry Godwin)

All this shit disturbingly reminds me of the Japanese bug fights. Oku trolls us again.

And Tae's face... I bet if not for the size differences and her not being a gantzer, she'd murder all of them.

It's funny how this reflects our world currently, in respect to the government and media telling us things. Most of us just gobble it up without actually thinking it through on our own. I like it when mangaka sometimes try to tie something in with the current world.

Now as for the story, it seems like it's progressing at a nice pace imo. Sometimes if the pacing is too fast then I feel like sometimes the plot gets muddled because too many things are happening at once.

I completely agree with you dude, Oku Hiroya has a knack for showing us how messed up society is....

and anyone else see Reika carry the two children when they were being attacked?

tsk tsk tsk Reika, if gantz has shown us anything, it's that being an idiot gets you killed ;)

If they're going back in history about Kurono, what're the odds that they'll find out about the 'Train Incident', ie when he died?

The ones who know the truth are now spreading it all across the internet, the heart of the circlejerks. If they'll have to choose between both sides right now, they better not try to change their minds only when it's already too late.

It's hard to tell if Sekine is really still himself but there's no coming back from that. At least no one else has died yet.

Ah that was brilliant.

I love how the 'crackpot' was portrayed here.
