I don't know if I liked or hated the series as a whole, It's vastly contradictory to what I like to read and alot of it didn't make logical sences, you expect me to belive that manny people can be killed in such a short amount of time and not get caught, and that the characters can see all this death and gore and not be effected in the slieghtest? As well as such inhuman experiments to be taking place with no one finding out about it? I mean there must have been hundreds of women trapped in thoughs labs abducted when they were children and no one goes looking for them? I get the idea that the children may be despised and hated but that's pretty fair fetched especially since some of them could be good people and not kill there parents? Ex. Anna Also why are these diclonii only appearing in one country? The worlds pretty big you know... Last but least my DNA is telling me to kill people.... wtf? DNA doesn't work that way even... no wait wait there's nothing I can think of the explain this that's just a plot hole if I ever heard it. I can believe Lucy being psychotic from pressure on her brain and a rough childhood but her DNA alone creating various personalities and killing people.. I'm sorry I'm allergic to bull shit.

Looking over what I just written I think I must sadly say this is on the lower end of all the manga I've read... @_@

I pretty much agree with this but I enjoyed it quite a bit to say the least. All you need to know is the anime is worse (Subject to opinion but it seems overall "Dumber")

Still, the author did a good job of making this slightly complex. Actually fuck that it isn't complex at all but he did a good job of adding things to make it seem more complex to the target audience.

Loved it! the manga was way better than the anime.

The story was so much deeper in details etc. Also like the end alot more. Even though it was a happy ending i cried like a baby during the series and specially at the end. And i dont know but even though the end was as happy and good as it could have been, i feelt sad/depressed and still do now a few days after. Maybe cause Lucy had to put up with so much misery all the way, plus all the small girls saying byebye and accepting to die? its so horrible.

I would really like to re watch both anime and read manga but i dont think i can handle it. Never seen/read any movie, anime, manga, tv show or what so ever that has been this touching, (only thing that maybe is close in tiers way is greenmile or meet joe black)

10/10 ofc

I dont think i will ever find a manga this good again.

ps.( do you people think that the twins, lucy/nyu remembered kouta when they where reborn? since they said we are waiting for some one here, a very important friend).

It's all somehow too happy and easy. I mean, whole Elfen Lied was pretty sad (and I think it should be), and in 107 it's all like a sudden resurrection of Bandou, Anna and that assassin (or agent or whoever that actually was) whose name I forgot. Of course I felt sorry for their fate when they died, but still - I think they should have died.

And the reincarnation story on top of that.

I would theorize after learning that the Diclonius revoultion (Does not relate to the myth Kakuzawa and his bloodline believed in because they were just humans with a bone mutation) started in modern times in Elfen Lied after Lucy's mom gave birth to a mutated baby, it could be that Lucy's vectors infecting others somehow gives them traits identical to hers with her world domination side ,which was a result of childhood trauma, being the dominant trait passed down. This could explain why all Diclonii or most had the side of them which was akin to Lucy's own "dark side" and the fact that the twins at the end seemed to know Kouta and in a sense was her reincarnation. Also the fact that Mariko's clones or at least 2(maybe just one but mos def at that one which I believe was Cynthia) was able to recall the fact that Kurama was their father can also be used to support my opinion but it could be like Mariko the original who was able to sense he was her father in the manga without being told it was and sense the person monitoring her for most of her life was not her mother.

but who's the father of those twins not to mention mother? i think nana. just because she's unable to bear children, doesn't mean she can't.

P.S.: The spy was really a dude right? If so, how come he has breasts in the last panel? o.O

It's obviously a woman you moron. -_-

Anyways, I loved the ending... sad, yet awesome as well.

So umm... that "Agent", Anna and Bandou's surprising "ressurections" were really unexpected... It did made the ending more brighter.

Also, in the end, more people ended up living than I had thought.

And those "twins"... Hmmmm... Maybe, they're Kaede's ("Lucy") daughters?

Hmmmm...... It wouldn't be that surprising that "Lucy" somehow survived... For starters, I thought for sure that Bandou and those other 2 had died.

And, in the end everyone that survived appeared to have a "happy ending".

Either way, this manga was way better than it's anime adaptation, mainly plot-wise.

In the end, I so loved this manga~

PS: So Yuuka and Kouta had a daughter, named "Nyuu"... I really wonder who were those friends (twins) of hers...

The two girls are reincarnations?

I guess yes.

How? Hah. It is based on Japanese mythology, I think. Didn't you notice that reincarnations are quite often been used in animes/mangas/VNs? ))

More to do with Eastern philosophy on reincarnation like Buddhism.
