For those of you who would like a minor genius bonus on Elfen Lied's name and the poem, look up Der Erlkoenig. Then look up the Elf King and his daughters.
I liked the ending, as some have said, it was a bit cheesy. Although it was sort of what I was hoping for, or at least I was hoping for a happy ending rather than a sad one.
