I don't think Lucy was reincarnated, I think that girl just happened to have the name Kaede. It's not that unpopular in Japan.

And who's reading it in 2016!

I cannot take this off my mind. Im sad that Lucy died

I cannot take that reincarnation as a happy ending

We all know that Kouta loved Nyuu/Lucy very much.

They should have lived in the mountains. Having babies

That would be more fitting ending.

The two girls are reincarnations?

I guess yes.

How? Hah. It is based on Japanese mythology, I think. Didn't you notice that reincarnations are quite often been used in animes/mangas/VNs? ))

Actually, no, I'm really new to manga and anime in general, and haven't seen this theme yet. I guess this is a bittersweet ending, though I find the KoutaxYuka thing weird.

Tearful ending with an older Kouta.

After coming from the anime, I didn't expect Lucy to end up like that on the lighthouse, christ that must have been awful for everyone to see. I'm not sure how Bando and the spy guy survived but whatever, I'm glad Anna is back to her human form and that Nana is happy with Papa.

Not a big fan of Kouta x Yuka anyway but its lovely that he did eventually get closure at the meeting spot in the form of those twins. What a moment there.

Hugely different from its anime counterpart but I'm very glad I read this.

Amazing series

screw some of you guys lol    I will gladly welcome a happy ending after 106.   This probably is one of the first pieces of fiction that almost made me cry  (a few futurama episodes) damn.

So did that girl get her singing voice back ? Nozemi ?

Do the twins remember everything?

I think after Lucy sliced Bandou ... and after everyone left Kurama was also on the beach in one of the panels after so maybe he found him and brought him over to one of his friends to fix him up. after he recovered in the hospital

Kurama did still have contacts I think (he had a fake arm in the end)

I still feel bad for that poor clumsy girl that lucy killed in the beginning

Nana was my favorite character in the manga/series so Im happy she survived in both the manga and in the anime and that at least in one she can live with her papa :).

10/10 fantastic series

I think in a story like this (or any piece of fiction for that matter), there's always room for interpretation. Those twins might have been apparitions or actual girls. What are they exactly? The answer is up to you. How did Bandou get a functioning body again? Your guess is as good as mine.

Lucy had to die, even though we all wanted her to live with the Nyuu personality. She accepted the consequences of her actions as a rampant dichronius, and I think it's a fitting end. The props should be given to Nana, who truly avoided Lucy's fate.

I believe the author exercised the fact that Kouta was the only person that truly mattered to the true Lucy in her unfortunate life, hence the twins appearing after Kouta opened the note. It was a very touching gesture, along with the resolution of the plot. Sure, everything went back to normal so quickly, but what else could you expect? As a writer and aspiring amateur mangaka for my own pleasure, I would end my story just around the same.

A riveting tale told in blood and intense emotions leading to a melancholy conclusion -- a true masterpiece to those who choose to appreciate it.

Yeah... there was some dumb stuff, like Bandou being alive... but, the feels were huge.

Sometimes, happy endings are underapreciated... (if you can really call happy a story where the protagonist has to be headshoted after suffering a horrible pain because her god damn flesh was being melted to the bones!!)

I'm happy to finally read the end of one of the first anime I ever saw.
