Gantz Chapter 108 Discussion

Kei knows how to loosen up the tension.

God, I love Kei. He is just the right mix of coward, scumbag, relatable teen and actual hero with balls of steel. I don't see that girl living for very long, and I suspect Kei won't be too distraught by her death either. And although I expect the reveal about the nature of Gantz or the aliens to be kind of dumb... I am so excited for it, too. The story is surprisingly interesting, especially for such an action-focused slaughter fest.



/edit: I also forgot, what's up with the one SWAT guy having seen his gun? It didn't trigger the head explosion, which was expected. Because it didn't immediately kill one of the gang members earlier either. But the SWAT guy just immediately dropped the topic as if he didn't see it to begin with. But guns are illegal in Japan! Was this supposed to be a weird "bro" moment, where the guy is like "I won't tell 'em, because you did a good job killing that alien fucker", is it going to actually be brought up again soon or is there a mind manipulation / perception filter going on? I guess we'll see. But I want to mention it just in case I massively misunderstood that scene. :P

sometimes Kei acts like an asshole but it's always understandable :o

Seriously ... I was extremely surprised she went along with it ... I mean they hadn't even been dating two weeks apparently. And furthermore they seemed to have just randomly got together as it was. I pray that he doesn't just cruelly use her feelings and then "toss her away"

I had my hopes on Nishi's blog for learning what this was all about. But I guess he didn't know either.

He got the girl and got laid so I see this as an absolute win if one would consider his usual train of thought. At the very least, it's a good thing that everyone's safe for now.



The worldwide catastrophe... I wonder what it'd be like.

This might be from a few months ago but just in case, why not~?

He's one of the guys who got thrown around and got ripped apart by the alien before he got shot. He was the only one who saw Kurono use the gun but he died from his injuries before he was able to tell anyone about it.

Damn, I want Tomb Raider girl back. :(
