so Priscilla was defeated because in Clare's mind Teresa is the strongest...?

weird to say goodbye to Teresa since her death is one of the best scenes, the number of survivors also way higher than expected, Clare can finally smile :)

i feel the manga reached its peak during the fight in the north where 24 claymores were slaughtered by the male Awakens

overall Claymore is still a great manga and is one of my all time favorites, even plan to collect the Japanese books since the dialogs are quite simple

I read the whole thing during the last few days and I have to say that I was disappointed. Early on, this was pretty much the best manga I had ever read - The arcs were short and the pace was fast. The characters were great and there was a ton of mystery surrounding them, from Rifel's motives to the conspiracy of Pieta or the existence of male Awakeneds or perhaps the best moment of them all, priscilla's awakening and Teresa's death. The reveals were great and plentiful. All the arcs before the timeskip were absolutely incredible, from the characters to the events to the strategies used.

After the timeskip, it was okay for some time as well but then the exploration and mysteries and interesting characters just stopped or it became difficult to care for the characters. The downfall probably begun around when they introduced the zombies - the most boring enemy imaginable that accomplished nothing but got rid of some of the best characters. The removal of all the best characters combined with Priscella's OPness that made all the fights feel meh. A common theme was that we were teased by amazing possibilities but what actually happened was absurdly meh. Giant reveals like the mainland that were not followed through on. Teresa at the end felt absurdly asspull even though she is my favorite character. Pacing really was awful overall near the end as well - instead of amazing 7 chapter, content packed arcs like before, the arcs were super dragged out and I often found mysrlf skipping through the fights when they always were so interesting before.

The thing that probably bothers me the most though is the Claymore weapon reveal that gave a mysterious scifi feel, but that was not ever even mentioned again. Overall, great promises and potential that were sadly followed through very disappointingly.

Ehh, I liked the ending for the most part and it didn't bother me that things got dragged out. I'd stop reading and wait for a good bit of material would come out and then I'd pick it up again.

Some things could definitely have been better but imo it would've been such a horrible idea for the manga to touch up on the mainland/claymore weapon idea again. That'd have to come from a sequel.

As it stands now the characters have no reason to leave their island and part of the more "meh" moments for me felt like they were a little too forced and having to include that in the manga would just be too much.

I just finished it in less than a week. I won't say I didn't enjoy it at all, but it was not what I expected. The art is the strong point of the manga without a doubt, but the fights dragged on like forever and were kinda repetitive, several underdeveloped and rather superfluous characters, and too many plot conveniences. I don't want to be harsh on it. There are pretty cool moments, but after reading so many reviews comparing it to Berserk, I thought that it was gradually going to become a more thought provoking work, and although at times it seemed that the series would follow that path, in the end it turned out to be another battle shonen with amazing art (not that I don't like battle shonen btw, it's just that my expectations were too high).

Loved the Teresa and Clare ending. It seems like a happy ending after all. I thought it was going to be sad. It was a fun ride from start to finish. 9.2/10 It's a great work; one of the best I've read so far.

the first half is much better than the second half imo. The initial part reminds me of berserk, something dark with some kind characters. The abyssal rivalry is quite compelling as well. I really like Riful and Easley, but I don't like how it concludes. The Priscila and Rafaela subplot was so boring to read, there are also quite a few awful Claymores, i only like Galatea and Miria and can't even remember the names of the others.

it's a nice shounen overall, but I've already consumed a lot of this kind of stuff before.

Irene is alive woohoo!!! And bruh no ending kiss between Raki and Clare I can't believe :(... The last chapter of this amazing manga was great, so much emotions at the end tho I still wanted to see that last kiss :(...xD. Overall good manga with great story and charachters!

Honestly the last kiss felt weird to me, like Clare felt like a big sister figure to Raki, I didn't see them as a potential love interest.

Irene being alive makes everything right again, I remember how they were dropping like flies back then but in retrospective a lot of them survived huh, pretty cool tbh. Really glad I didn't even bother with the anime to start off, the art is just so pretty, and the anime covers like half of it, so I'm glad I read it all.

Really nice seeing Teresa in the end, I was really curious of what her awakened form would be like, and I'm glad they covered that she was just what Clare thought she would look like, since she obv would have a monstrous figure, and they claimed that Teresa shouldn't be stronger than Priscilla who had the potential to pass her
